Dedicated to those who fought and died in the 18 years that the United States fought in this southeast Asian country; it was as bitterly divisive while being designed as the war was argued over back home. No look at this memorial is complete without the stories of those who made it a reality, and a look at the meaning of its features both large and small, including the names of three of the women honored in one of the statue groups.
