Located on the eastern Algarve, on the top of a hill overlooking the Ria Formosa Lagoon, this village was occupied by several people, like grecs, romans and moors. A fortress, and a church remind us of a glorious past but the barrier island of Cacela-Velha makes of this place a true paradise for beach lovers.
