In 1917 Fátima became a place of pilgrimage for catholics around the world, after the aparitions of the Virgin Mary to three little shepherds. The little Chapel of the Aparitions became the central point of this sanctuary, but new Churches were built throughout the years. Such as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where the tombs of the 3 seers are located and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, one of the biggest in the world.
